Music acts revealed for St Pauls Carnival 2014

The organisers of Bristol’s St Pauls Carnival have revealed a number of the artists and bands due to appear at next week's big event.

The carnival, which has been going since 1967, takes place on 5 July across the St Pauls area of Bristol and is largely free to attend.

CHRONIXX starts a fyah in Bristol

Rising Jamaican reggae artist CHRONIXX performed his first ever full stage show in the UK last night at the Malcolm X Centre in Bristol.

Following a high profile, but brief appearance at the BBC 1Xtra show at Leeds Arena the night before, reggae fans in St Pauls got more than an hour of CHRONIXX and ZINC FENCE REDEMPTION time.

Jamaican reggae/dancehall artist CHRONIXX is set to perform a special show at Bristol’s Malcolm X Centre as part of his upcoming 'Start A Fyah' UK tour.

AL CAMPBELL confirms live show in Bristol

Top Ranking has announced that legendary Jamaican singer AL CAMPBELL will be making a rare live appearance in Bristol later this year.

The show takes place at the Black Swan from 10pm to 5am on 8 November and early bird tickets are priced at £8, rising to £10 in advance.

SAXON SOUND to hit Bristol next week

Bristol promoters Watch Ya Lemonz are putting on a dance next Saturday (6 October) in the city featuring the return of the legendary SAXON SOUND.

The full soundsystem and crew will be joined on the night by Bristol’s BLACKOUT JA and FLORA & SKYLION, alongside Spain’s NYAHBINGHI DUB and LAVADORA SOUND.
