JAZZ JAMAICA lines up London show

The mighty JAZZ JAMAICA has lined up a show in London this summer.

The gig takes place on 4 June at the 100 Club in London with tickets priced at £22.50 in advance.

In 2004 the JAZZ JAMAICA ALL STARS put out an album called Massive.


JAZZ JAMAICA gets ready for London show

The Hideaway in London will host a special night to celebrate Jamaican independence day featuring JAZZ JAMAICA and FELICITY ETHNIC.

The gig takes place on 8 August with tickets priced at £20 in advance.

JAZZ JAMAICA’s original concept was to create a fusion of mento, ska, reggae and jazz, playing classic and modern jazz standards alongside Jamaican folksongs.


RHODA DAKAR added to London Intl Ska Festival

The London International Ska Festival has announced RHODA DAKAR will be joining the top line-up of artists at this year’s event.

The BODYSNATCHERS and SPECIAL AKA lead singer will be performing live with the PHOENIX CITY ALL-STARS at the Jazz Café on 19 April, along with the brilliant JAZZ JAMAICA.


MOBO Awards 2013: ‘Best Reggae’ shortlist unveiled

The shortlists for the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards 2013 can now be revealed, including four Jamaican-raised artists and STYLO G representing the UK.

BRINSLEY FORDE lines up Manchester show

Reggae singer BRINSLEY FORDE, a founding member of ASWAD, is set to perform in Manchester next month at the Band On The Wall.

The show takes place on 26 September with early bird tickets priced at £18.

The full details of the Lively Up! Festival tour can now be revealed - including 19 events at 17 different venues around the UK.

The exciting new tour, featuring the JAZZ JAMAICA ALL STARS, runs from 27 September to 2 November.

It will celebrate some of Jamaica's most important cultural icons and mark the 50th anniversary of the island’s independence from the UK.
