UK dates revealed for rescheduled LUCIANO tour

Jamaican singer LUCIANO has rescheduled four UK shows to now take place in mid-June.

Back in March the performer pulled out of a number of live dates after the death of his 19 year-old son.

The rescheduled LUCIANO tour includes the following gigs:


LUCIANO appeals to find son's killers

Jamaican musician LUCIANO has appeared in a YouTube video appeal for information around the death of his 19 year-old son.

The singer, who appears alongside producer Wayne Lonesome in the video, has urged members of the public with any leads to contact the police.


More UK dates for LUCIANO and BUGLE

Jamaican roots reggae artist LUCIANO will perform a Mother's Day weekend special around the UK alongside BUGLE.

In addition to the previously announced show in London, the singers backed by THE RASITES band will also perform in Birmingham and Bradford.

Jamaicans dominate Grammy reggae shortlist

Four Jamaican acts have been shortlisted in the ‘Best Reggae Album’ category for the 2016 Grammy Awards.

The National Academy of Recording, Arts and Sciences revealed the nominees for the 58th annual Grammys yesterday.

REGGAE CULTURE FEST to hit London in 2016

Jamaica’s LUCIANO and BUGLE will perform live at Reggae Culture Fest in South London next March.

The big show takes place on 6 March 2016 at Clapham Grand with tickets priced from £27.50 to £33 in advance.


LUCIANO confirms UK tour will go ahead

Jamaican reggae singer LUCIANO has confirmed he will perform in the UK next week, following rumours he had been unsuccessful in securing a visa to enter the country.

According to a statement put out by representatives of the artist, seen by The Voice newspaper, LUCIANO is currently in rehearsals and will arrive in the UK on 13 May.

Positive Vibrations brings a massive line-up over from Jamaica, also featuring TEFLON, I WAYNE, RASS OMEEK and BADRASS also known as JAHFET.


Reggae Salute comes to Birmingham

Classical Promotions and The Drum are bringing 'Reggae Salute' to Birmingham next month featuring live performances from LUCIANO, I-OCTANE, CHRISTOPHER MARTIN, ETANA and CHUCK FENDA.

The big show takes place at the Tower Ballroom on 28 September and tickets are priced at £30.

EASY STAR ALL-STARS to cover MICHAEL JACKSON; plus full UK tour dates revealed

New York reggae innovators EASY STAR ALL-STARS have revealed that their new album will be a take on the MICHAEL JACKSON classic Thriller.

The tribute album will be available on Easy Star Records from 28 August, but in the meantime you can listen to a sample of “Billie Jean” featuring LUCIANO here.


Jamaica 50 Festival in London: all-star line-up revealed

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jamaica’s independence from the UK, London’s IndigO2 will play host to the Jamaica 50 Festival this summer.

The 11-day event is set to feature an eclectic mix of reggae artists from YELLOWMAN to GYPTIAN, DAMIAN MARLEY to LUCIANO, and SLY AND ROBBIE to BIG YOUTH.

Nigerian fans heckle LUCIANO at Christmas eve show

Jamaican reggae singer LUCIANO was bombarded with empty water bottles during a performance at the Rivers State Carnival (CARNIRIV) in Nigeria over the weekend (24 December).

According to Nigerian news service Punch Newspapers, the embarrassing incident took place at the closing of the carnival at Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt.


Journey To Jah: ‘be part of the film’

The film makers of a new reggae documentary Journey To Jah need the public’s support to help finance the remaining part of the project.

A short video clip below reveals what kind of content you can expect if the film is completed, urging supporters to “join the part of the film”.

German film directors Noël Dernesch and Moritz Springer have been working on the film for the last six years and now need to close a funding shortfall of US$60,000.


Reggae goes country and gay

Two things you might not expect to hear from the world of reggae have hit the headlines recently – firstly VP Records is releasing a country-reggae record, and secondly a Jamaican artist has put out a "pro-gay reggae” album.

VP and Warner Music Nashville have joined forces on new compilation Reggae's Gone Country that includes 13 country songs by a number of well-known reggae artists.

Jamaican reggae artist Jepther McClymont, more commonly known as LUCIANO, performed a headline set at the Lambeth Country Show in London on Sunday.
