POPCAAN arrested and fined in Antigua

Jamaican dancehall artist POPCAAN has been arrested and fined for assaulting a police officer in Antigua.

The deejay, real name Andre Sutherland, was arrested and charged after an altercation with a member of the Royal Antigua and Barbuda Police Force during a live performance at a rally.


POPCAAN wins 2015 MOBO Award

Jamaican dancehall artist POPCAAN has won a Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) Award in the best reggae category.

The awards ceremony took place at the Leeds First Direct Arena.

POPCAAN beat off competition from CHRONIXX, STYLO G, PROTOJE and OMI.

Date set for POPCAAN assault trial

Dancehall artist POPCAAN, real name Andre Sutherland, is set to appear in Jamaica’s Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on 5 June for assaulting a policeman.

Sutherland is charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.

The allegations are that in November last year he assaulted a policeman at Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.
