New Year is just around the corner again. ReggaeChapter selects its top 10 reggae or reggae-influenced nights happening around the UK on 31 December.

Love Saves The Day 2016 details revealed

The Love Saves The Day festival will return to Bristol next year for its fifth instalment.

The two-day event will take place over the Bank Holiday weekend of 28-29 May 2016 in Eastville Park with tickets priced from £45-75.

The event will feature LIONPULSE, SHY FX and TEACHINGS IN DUB, among many others.


Bestival reveals SHY FX sound system line up

Bestival’s Summer of Love Bollywood takeover series will see dancefloor lunacy provided by the digital soundboy don SHY FX going back to back with special guests.

The ‘Party on the Moon’ takeover will also feature microphone control courtesy of MC STAMINA on the closing night of the festival, 13 September.


In:Motion 2015 club series revealed

The schedule and acts for Bristol’s In:Motion series of club nights from October through to January can now be revealed.

Among the many and varied sessions, some of the reggae, dub and Jamaican-influenced nights are:


More reggae acts revealed for Glastonbury

More than 200 acts can now be revealed for the Silver Hayes dance area of Glastonbury Festival, including reggae acts like THE SKINTS and MUNGO'S HI FI.

Top new additions also include BUNJI GARLIN, JUS NOW, DON LETTS, ROBBO RANX, RONI SIZE REPRAZENT, SHY FX and SKEPTA, among many others.


HORACE ANDY added to Love Saves The Day

Jamaican singer HORACE ANDY will perform live at Bristol’s Love Saves The Day festival this summer with the DUB ASANTE band featuring MATIC HORNS.

The event will also feature performances from BABYHEAD, JUS NOW, SHY FX, DUB FX, TEACHINGS IN DUB, JAH SHAKA and WILEY, among many others.


New acts added to Reading and Leeds

REBEL SOUND featuring CHASE & STATUS and RAGE, DAVID RODIGAN and SHY FX are the latest additions to Reading and Leeds festivals this year.

Reading Festival takes place on 27-30 August at Richfield Avenue, and on the same date Leeds Festival takes place at Bramham Park.


DAVID RODIGAN & REBEL SOUND victory at Culture Clash

REBEL SOUND, featuring CHASE & STATUS and RAGE, SHY FX and reggae DJ DAVID RODIGAN, reigned supreme at the Red Bull Culture Clash event in London yesterday.

The specially formed group blew grime collective BOY BETTER KNOW, Jamaican sound system STONE LOVE and A$AP MOB headed up by US rapper A$AP ROCKY out of the water.

The event took place at Earls Court in London on 30 October.


Love Saves The Day 2014 line-up revealed

The first acts can now be revealed for Bristol’s Love Saves The Day including GENTLEMAN'S DUB CLUB, STYLO G and MS DYNAMITE, among many others.

The big show takes place on 24-25 May in Castle Park, Bristol, with early bird tickets priced at just £25.


Bristol In:Motion returns with MR VEGAS, DAVID RODIGAN & STYLO G

The In:Motion series of shows returns to Bristol late next month with reggae heavyweights such as MR VEGAS and DAVID RODIGAN.

The ever-growing list of reggae, dub and dancehall New Year’s Eve parties has reached new heights in the ReggaeChapter listings section with a total of 21 shows.

Digital Soundboy reveals Notting Hill Carnival line-up

Digital Soundboy has announced its full line-up for the Notting Hill Carnival later this month.

The DSB Soundsystem stage, in association with Soul Village and Sir Lloyd, returns to carnival on 27 August from 12pm until 7pm.

The stage will be on the corner of Tavistock Road/Leamington Road Villas (outside number 54), which is a one-minute walk from Westbourne Park Tube station.
