London’s LEE THOMPSON SKA ORCHESTRA, the brainchild of MADNESS saxophonist Lee “Kix” Thompson, will perform at Camden’s Jazz Café later this year.

Following a sold out show at the famous venue last October, the band returns this autumn on 2 October with tickets priced at £16 in advance.

LEE THOMPSON SKA ORCHESTRA, DREADZONE, RUTS DC and RASTA4EYES are among the bands performing at this year’s Strummercamp in Manchester next month.

The festival features three days of liberation, music and performing arts inspired by the late JOE STRUMMER of THE CLASH.

The line-up for Coventry's free Godiva Festival can now be revealed including NEVILLE STAPLE, THE DUALERS and LEE THOMPSON SKA ORCHESTRA.

The festival takes place at the War Memorial Park, Coventry, on 5-7 July.

Other acts on the bill include REGGAELATORS and RIDDIMSTONE.

Lambeth Country Show line-up revealed: MAX ROMEO tops bill

The main stage line-up for South London’s Lambeth Country Show 2013 can now be revealed including headliner MAX ROMEO.

The Jamaican roots reggae veteran will top the bill alongside CORNELL CAMPBELL, SOOTHSAYERS, NATTY, LEE THOMPSON SKA ORCHESTRA and MANASSEH SOUND SYSTEM.

BITTY MCLEAN lines up Jazz Café show in August

British reggae singer BITTY MCLEAN looks set to hit London later this summer with a big show at the Jazz Café. 

The gig takes place on 29 August and tickets cost £20 in advance.

In the early 1990s MCLEAN launched into the high end of the British charts with a string of top 10 hits.

Morrisons's MFest cancelled due to ‘adverse’ weather; was set to include ALI CAMPBELL & LEE THOMPSON

This weekend's MFest, a brand new festival put on by supermarket Morrisons, has been cancelled due to severe weather.

The inaugural event was set to include artists such as ALI CAMPBELL, LEE THOMPSON SKA ORCHESTRA and SOUL II SOUL at Harwood House in Leeds.
