Top 10 Valentine reggae nights in the UK 2016

As 2016 gets into full swing ReggaeChapter.com can now reveal its top 10 reggae shows taking place around the country on Valentine’s Day.

In no particular order, here are this year’s pickings:

1. SANCHEZ + ROMAIN VIRGO [The 2016 Reggae Valentine Affair] - O2 Academy, Birmingham

Jamaican music stars SANCHEZ and ROMAIN VIRGO will perform in Birmingham on Valentine’s Day early next year.

Tickets are now on sale for SANCHEZ and ROMAIN VIRGO’s live show in London early next year.

The gig takes place on 13 February 2016 at the Troxy with tickets priced from £38.50 to £85.

They will be joined by special guests CHARDEL RORDEN, winner of reggae star factor 2014, and Belgian reggae princess ONESTY.

Full details revealed for Reggae Valentine Showcase

The Reggae Valentine Showcase, featuring Jamaican legend FREDDIE MCGREGOR, will now hit Manchester, Birmingham and London next month.

FREDDIE MCGREGOR lines up big UK Valentine shows

Top Jamaican singer FREDDIE MCGREGOR will perform in London and Manchester this coming Valentine’s Day.

The ‘Reggae Valentine Showcase Ball’ will also feature live performances from JOHNNY OSBOURNE, CHRISTOPHER MARTIN, ROMAIN VIRGO and TERRY LINEN, among others.

VP Records’ Strictly The Best series hits 50

Independent reggae label VP Records will shortly put out the latest volume in its Strictly The Best compilation album series.

According to the Jamaica Observer, on 25 November VP will release volumes 50 and 51 of the series.

Producer SHANE BROWN to co-manage TARRUS RILEY

Jamaican record producer SHANE BROWN of Juke Boxx Jamaica has joined saxophonist DEAN FRASER as core members of TARRUS RILEY's management.

Brown, the former manager of BUSY SIGNAL and current co-manager of ROMAIN VIRGO, inked the deal to take RILEY to the next level.

Bristol dancehall promoter nominated for award

Bristol-based dancehall and reggae promoter ANGEL CAMORRA from Angelick Promotions has been nominated in the “Best Online Promotion Team” category of the Dancehall Industry Awards.

As the driving force behind Angelick Promotions, Angel has been instrumental in supporting dancehall and reggae music across the UK.

Bristol gig report: BERES HAMMOND, TARRUS RILEY & ROMAIN VIRGO

Reggae royalty BERES HAMMOND, TARRUS RILEY and rising star ROMAIN VIRGO performed in the Westcountry last week (11 October) at Bristol City Football Club.

The triple VP Records bill took place at Ashton Gate Stadium’s Dolman Exhibition Hall following a last minute venue change late last month, rescheduled from Cardiff University.

Bristol venue revealed for BERES HAMMOND, TARRUS RILEY & ROMAIN VIRGO show

The “Biggest Reggae Show of the Year” comes to Bristol next week (11 October) at the Dolman Exhibition Hall, Bristol City Football Stadium.

The show has been upgraded from Cardiff University Students’ Union to the larger Ashton Gate venue in South Bristol.

BERES HAMMOND/TARRUS RILEY Cardiff show moved to Bristol

Reggae superstars BERES HAMMOND, TARRUS RILEY and ROMAIN VIRGO will now be performing in Bristol on 11 October rather than the previously advertised Cardiff University venue.

The new “exclusive and bigger" venue in Bristol will be revealed on 1 October along with all the full details.

Tickets already purchased for Cardiff will gain you entry to the Bristol venue. All artists will be performing with a live band.

Greatest Reggae Show On Earth Part 2 comes to Wembley: BERES HAMMOND, TARRUS RILEY, ALBOROSIE & ROMAIN VIRGO

Tickets are now on sale for the ‘Greatest Reggae Show On Earth Part 2’, which is set to include reggae heavyweights BERES HAMMOND and TARRUS RILEY.

ROMAIN VIRGO will also be making his UK debut performance alongside "new roots phenomenon" from Sicily, ALBOROSIE.
