SHAGGY gets ready for Liverpool Summer Jam

Jamaican-American artist SHAGGY will perform later this month at the Liverpool International Music Festival’s Summer Jam event in Sefton Park.

Following shows at Motion in Bristol and BoomTown Fair in Winchester earlier this month, the performer will be heading north to Liverpool.

The organisers of BoomTown Fair have announced the final acts for their 2014 event including SHAGGY and THE SKATALITES.


Reggae Rollover show comes to the UK: SHAGGY, MYKAL ROSE & SLY AND ROBBIE

The Reggae Rollover concert will take place at Wembley Arena later this year featuring SHAGGY, MYKAL ROSE, SLY AND ROBBIE, KONSHENS, AGENT SASCO [aka ASSASSIN] and TIFA.

The big show takes place on 19 October and tickets are on sale now priced at £35 to £55.


SHAGGY to launch new record label in Jamaica

Reggae and dancehall artist SHAGGY will tomorrow (26 February) launch his new record label, Ranch Entertainment, in Kingston Jamaica.

As reported in the Jamaica Star, the launch is set to take place at the Behind the Screen event at Usain Bolt's Tracks and Records.

GYPTIAN & BUSTA RHYMES destroy Wembley: videos available

US rapper BUSTA RHYMES and rising dancehall artist GYPTIAN stole the show at the One Love Peace Festival at Wembley Arena on Sunday.

Both artists managed to whip the 12,000-stong crowd into a frenzy amid deafening whistle-blowing and screams.

Other standout performances from the day came from ETANA, Sir JOHN HOLT and SEAN PAUL who all drew in large crowds and didn’t suffer the same arena acoustic problems that other bands experienced throughout the day.


Reggae stars descend on the UK

International reggae artists SHAGGY, SEAN PAUL, GYPTIAN, THE ABYSSINIANS and ETANA have hit UK soil ahead of the One Love Peace Festival at Wembley Arena tomorrow.

SHAGGY releases new “Sugarcane” music video

Jamaican-American reggae singer Orville Burrell, or SHAGGY as he’s more popularly known, has released the official music video for his “Sugarcane” single.

The Kingston artist launched the music video at an event in New Kingston last week (16 July) along with his upcoming Summer In Kingston album.


New SHAGGY album: full details revealed

Reggae singer Orville Richard Burrell, better known as SHAGGY, will later this month release his new studio album Summer In Kingston.

The eight track digital release is his tenth album so far in a career that started back in the early 90s with international hits such as “Oh Carolina” and "Boombastic".

Chelsea and France footballer FLORENT MALOUDA is in the process of organising a reggae festival in French Guiana.
