Live review: YELLOWMAN and DILLINGER in Cardiff

Jamaican reggae greats YELLOWMAN and DILLINGER performed to a packed house in the Welsh capital last week as part of their UK tour.

Local support TAFYJAH ALLSTARS were first on at the Globe and warmed up the stage for DILLINGER to take the mic, backed by the phenomenal SAGITTARIUS BAND.

DILLINGER was part of the second wave of DJ toasters who sprung up around Jamaica during the mid-1970s and his appeal 40 years on remains convincing.


YELLOWMAN and DILLINGER kick off UK tour

Jamaican deejays YELLOWMAN and DILLINGER will be kicking of their tour of the UK tonight with a show in Colchester.

Backed by the SAGITTARIUS BAND the dancehall stars will take in shows in Wales, Scotland, the North of England, London and the South East.

Full details revealed for YELLOWMAN/DILLINGER tour

Jamaica’s YELLOWMAN and DILLINGER have added more dates to their upcoming tour of the UK taking in 11 shows throughout February and March.

Backed by the SAGITTARIUS BAND the dancehall stars will be hitting the road on 26 February in Colchester and winding up in London on 9 March.

Jamaican reggae and dancehall deejay YELLOWMAN has added live shows in Cardiff and Manchester to his upcoming tour of the UK.

The tour now includes the following shows:


YELLOWMAN lines up shows in Brighton and Glasgow

Jamaican dancehall master YELLOWMAN will perform in the UK next year with initial shows lined up in Brighton and Glasgow.

YELLOWMAN will perform with the SAGITTARIUS BAND at Brighton’s Concorde 2 alongside special guests THE DROP; while in Glasgow he will appear with his band and Jamaican reggae artist DILLINGER.

Two of the greatest rub-a-dub sounds, KING STURGAV (with teacher DADDY U-ROY) and VOLCANO (with original selector DANNY DREAD), will be in London next month for a big show in Brixton.


Jamaica 50 Festival in London: all-star line-up revealed

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jamaica’s independence from the UK, London’s IndigO2 will play host to the Jamaica 50 Festival this summer.

The 11-day event is set to feature an eclectic mix of reggae artists from YELLOWMAN to GYPTIAN, DAMIAN MARLEY to LUCIANO, and SLY AND ROBBIE to BIG YOUTH.
