AL CAMPBELL confirms live show in Bristol

Top Ranking has announced that legendary Jamaican singer AL CAMPBELL will be making a rare live appearance in Bristol later this year.

The show takes place at the Black Swan from 10pm to 5am on 8 November and early bird tickets are priced at £8, rising to £10 in advance.

Top reggae acts announced for Redfest Bristol

The full details of Redfest Bristol can now be revealed including local reggae acts TROY ELLIS and THE HAIL JAMAICA BAND along with headliner BABYHEAD.

Redfield’s free independent arts and music festival takes place from 31 July to 4 August and the St George Park all-dayer, which includes the above two acts, is on 3 August.

Bristol-based reggae artist TROY ELLIS will headline a big show next month (23 December) at The Fleece in Bristol.

TROY ELLIS, the son of "King of Rocksteady" ALTON ELLIS, will be joined by JAH GARVEY, THE RAS BAND and special guest LIONEL ANDERSON.

JOSHUA MOSES live at the Fleece in Bristol

Roots reggae artist JOSHUA (JASHWHA) MOSES performed a long-overdue comeback show last night (26 May) at the Fleece after 30 years “in the wilderness”.

Fan-filmed video footage of the show can be viewed below.

His return to the stage was marked with a headline show following the release of his highly acclaimed album Joshua to Jashwha – 30 Years In the Wilderness, released by Bristol Archive Records last month.

Bristol-based reggae artist TROY ELLIS and THE HAIL JAMAICA REGGAE BAND have announced a big album launch show for their debut record Ain't That Loving You.

The gig has been scheduled to take place on 30 June at the Colston Hall (Hall 2) in Bristol.

JOHN HOLT lines up UK shows in February 2012

Legendary reggae singer JOHN HOLT has lined up two big shows in Bristol and Cardiff early on in the New Year.

To celebrate nearly 40 years since the release of his biggest selling album 1000 Volts Of Holt, the former PARAGONS lead singer will be performing the record in its entirety at the shows.

The ‘1000 Volts Of Holt Tour 2012’ takes in Cardiff University Students’ Union in Wales and then on to the Malcolm X Centre in St Pauls, Bristol.
