Top reggae acts for Eden Festival 2016

CONGO NATTY, GENTLEMAN'S DUB CLUB and HOLLIE COOK are among the acts set to play Eden Festival this summer.

The festival also features CHANNEL ONE, MUNGO'S HI-FI and STYLO G, among many others.

Eden takes place on 9-12 June at Raehills Meadows near Moffat in Scotland with adult weekend tickets starting at £95.

Nozstock 2016 reggae acts revealed

The organisers behind Nozstock can now reveal ska and reggae acts including GENTLEMAN’S DUB CLUB for this year's line-up.

The dub and reggae band will be joined by DUB PHIZIX, STRATEGY and CHANNEL ONE heading up a reggae takeover in The Bullpen on Saturday.

Bristol’s Tokyo World line-up revealed

This year Tokyo Dub becomes Tokyo World featuring a wide range of dub and reggae acts across eight stages of music.

The one day festival takes place on 26 September in Eastville Park, Bristol, with tickets currently priced at £30.

More than 200 acts can now be revealed for the Silver Hayes dance area of Glastonbury Festival, including reggae acts like THE SKINTS and MUNGO'S HI FI.

Top new additions also include BUNJI GARLIN, JUS NOW, DON LETTS, ROBBO RANX, RONI SIZE REPRAZENT, SHY FX and SKEPTA, among many others.

Bristol is getting ready for the next instalment of TOKYO DUB in September, featuring GENTLEMAN'S DUB CLUB, THE SKINTS and MAD PROFESSOR.

The day-long festival takes place on 27 September at Eastville Park in Bristol with tickets priced at £30 in advance.

RICHIE SPICE for London's City Splash Festival

Jamaican artist RICHIE SPICE will headline a brand new festival in London later this year - City Splash Festival.

GENTLEMAN'S DUB CLUB, THE MOUSE OUTFIT, CHANNEL ONE, JAH YOUTH, NATTY and RTKAL are also among the first acts confirmed for the festival, which is billed as “celebrating the Caribbean's sound system culture in the heart of the city”.

CHANNEL ONE gets carnival licence go-ahead

Long-running sound system CHANNEL ONE will return to Notting Hill Carnival later this month after being granted a new licence.

The sound system has been based at the corner of Westbourne Park Road and Leamington Road Villas during the carnival for more than two decades, but was forced to apply for a new licence which gave Westminster residents the chance to voice concerns about noise and anti-social behaviour.

A number of new additions to the House Of Fun Weekender 2013 can now be revealed including LITTLE ROY, GENTLEMAN'S DUB CLUB, DENNIS ALCAPONE and the LEE THOMPSON SKA ORCHESTRA, among many others.

SOOTHSAYERS, RESONATORS and CHANNEL ONE line up big London show

Two of the finest live reggae outfits in the UK, RESONATORS and SOOTHSAYERS, will meet face-to-face with the mighty CHANNEL ONE SOUNDSYSTEM, WRONGTOM and MARK SOLUTION for a one-off night at the Village Underground in London.

The Soundcrash show takes place on 4 October and promises to deliver an amalgamation of soul, ska, funk, and afrobeat with dub reggae as the unifying force inside the East London venue.

TROJAN SOUND SYSTEM selects favourite tracks for The Guardian

Selectors DADDY AD and EARL GATESHEAD of London-based TROJAN SOUND SYSTEM have revealed to The Guardian their top 10 tracks.

The pair “empty the contents of their psychic record bag” disclosing the track they’ll be opening their next set with, the track to rescue a dancefloor and the one that currently gets the most rewinds.

Full details of the fifth annual Goodly Words Cultural Winter Festival can now be revealed with a massive line-up featuring some of the finest roots reggae artists in the UK.
