THE SELECTER drops new music video

2Tone ska band THE SELECTER has put out the official music video for “Box Fresh”, the first single from forthcoming album Subculture.

This is one of THE SELECTER’s first official music video releases for nearly 30 years. Neil Pyzer recorded and produced the song, while PRINCE FATTY mixed it.


DENNIS ALCAPONE lines up Rum 'n' Bass in Brighton

Pioneering Jamaican toaster DENNIS ALCAPONE will perform next month at Brighton's Black History Month annual party: Rum 'n' Bass.

ALCAPONE will be backed by reggae and ska band DUBCATS featuring BLACK STEEL, plus DJ support from PRINCE FATTY.


Bestival reveals Reggae Roots stage

The organisers of the UK’s Bestival have announced a brand new stage for the 2014 event called Reggae Roots.

The new stage will be dedicated to the myriad flavours of reggae from ska, rocksteady and ragga to dub, dancehall and junglist riddims.

Bestival regulars REGGAE ROAST, TAYO and JIM8TRACK will be residents throughout the weekend.

A number of new additions to the House Of Fun Weekender 2013 can now be revealed including LITTLE ROY, GENTLEMAN'S DUB CLUB, DENNIS ALCAPONE and the LEE THOMPSON SKA ORCHESTRA, among many others.


Studio One legends line up for Rub a Dub Club in Brixton

PRINCE FATTY’s Rub a Dub Club special in Brixton next month will include performances from DENNIS ALCAPONE featuring WINSTON REEDY and WINSTON FRANCIS.

The reggae legends will be nicing up the ‘Rub­a­Dub’ dance, playing classic Studio One selections with the backing of a full live band.


HOLLIE COOK & PRINCE FATTY back for Brixton Come Together

The organisers behind Brixton Come Together have announced some of the confirmed acts for the 2013 festival including the return of HOLLIE COOK and PRINCE FATTY.

The independent annual event takes place in Brixton, South London, on 21-22 September.


LEE THOMPSON SKA ORCHESTRA to hit Bristol on UK tour

The LEE THOMPSON SKA ORCHESTRA, brainchild of MADNESS saxophonist Lee “Kix” Thompson, will perform in Bristol later this month for an intimate and rare show at The Fleece.

The line-up for the Lake District's Kendal Calling music festival can now be revealed including PRINCE FATTY, HORSEMAN and DUB PISTOLS, among many others.

The eighth Kendal Calling takes place in Lowther Deer Park, Hackthorpe, this summer from 26-28 July.


JIMMY CLIFF to headline the UK’s Beat-Herder Festival

Legendary reggae artist JIMMY CLIFF will headline this year’s Beat-Herder Festival alongside GENTLEMAN'S DUB CLUB, PRINCE FATTY and HORSEMAN.

The festival, held near Sawley in Lancashire, runs 5-7 July and tickets are priced at £105.


THE SKINTS live at the Fleece in Bristol

East London reggae band THE SKINTS kicked off their 'Part & Parcel Tour' last night (2 October) with a big show at The Fleece in Bristol. Fan-filmed video of the part of the show can be viewed below.


PRINCE FATTY takes on the Drunken Gambler: out now

British producer PRINCE FATTY has dropped his third full-length album, Prince Fatty Versus the Drunken Gambler, available now.

The 10-track concept album includes both originals and covers, mixing “hip hop fantasy and reggae reality”.

Camp Bestival has announced the initial acts for this summer's festival, including top reggae artists JIMMY CLIFF, DUB PISTOLS, PRINCE FATTY and DAVID RODIGAN.

There will also be a 'Saturday Night Fever' evening with top US funk acts KOOL & THE GANG, CHIC featuring NILE RODGERS and EARTH, WIND & FIRE EXPERIENCE feat AL MCKAY.
