Top reggae acts for Eden Festival 2016

CONGO NATTY, GENTLEMAN'S DUB CLUB and HOLLIE COOK are among the acts set to play Eden Festival this summer.

The festival also features CHANNEL ONE, MUNGO'S HI-FI and STYLO G, among many others.

Eden takes place on 9-12 June at Raehills Meadows near Moffat in Scotland with adult weekend tickets starting at £95.

HOLLIE COOK will perform at the next Love Of Dub event in Bristol with her band GENERAL ROOTS.

The session takes place on 6 May at the Trinity Centre in Bristol with tickets available from £16.50 to £19.50.

Hungary’s PANNONIA ALLSTARS SKA ORCHESTRA is the latest addition to the London International Ska Festival 2016.

UK reggae artist HOLLIE COOK has been added to four dates on the upcoming PROTOJE and THE INDIGGNATION tour.

COOK will be appearing on 13, 14, 18 and 20 October, while BECCA D will be on all dates except Brighton. TODDLA T will be performing at the Oxford show.

More ska acts added to OnBlackheath Festival

HOLLIE COOK and CHAINSKA BRASSIKA are among the latest additions to OnBlackheath Festival later this summer.

The ska and reggae acts will join previously announced headline act MADNESS on 12-13 September on Blackheath Common in London.

Weekend tickets are priced at £89 in advance.

Kaya Festival line-up comes together

The 2015 Kaya Festival is heating up with big reggae acts such as MYKAL ROSE set to perform.

The festival takes place on 7-9 August at the Margam Country Park in Port Talbot. Tickets with camping are priced at £120.

Kaya Festival offers an assortment of African, Caribbean and world musical flavours.

Studio One legends line up for Rub a Dub Club in Brixton

PRINCE FATTY’s Rub a Dub Club special in Brixton next month will include performances from DENNIS ALCAPONE featuring WINSTON REEDY and WINSTON FRANCIS.

The reggae legends will be nicing up the ‘Rub­a­Dub’ dance, playing classic Studio One selections with the backing of a full live band.

The first release of artists for Birmingham’s Reggae City festival can now be revealed including JOHNNY CLARKE with the DUB ASANTE BAND, THE SELECTER and HOLLIE COOK.

The big show returns on 18 May bringing “outdoor stages, lush PAs and a taste of the Caribbean to the streets of Birmingham once again”.

Jamaican reggae artist ANTHONY B wowed the people of South London on Sunday (16 September) with a stunning performance at the Lambeth Country Show.

The “Original Fire Man from Trelawny” topped the bill at the annual Brockwell Park show and showed he’s still got the fire burning.

The line-up for the 38th annual Lambeth Country Show (15-16 September) at Brockwell Park, South London, can now be revealed.

Sunday kicks off with Lambeth resident MISS MEGOO and the YAHMAN ALL STARS followed by HOLLIE COOK backed by a full band.

Vintage Festival cancelled next month: added to Wilderness 2012

The Vintage Festival, which was due to take place from 13-15 July at the Boughton Estate in Northamptonshire, has been cancelled. 

The festival was set to include BUSTER SHUFFLE, HOLLIE COOK, JUNIOR MURVIN, DON LETTS, PHOENIX CITY ALL-STARS and THE DELEGATORS, among many others, but low sales and the weather prevented it going ahead.

WOMAD line-up: LINTON KWESI JOHNSON, THE DENNIS BOVELL DUB BAND & HOLLIE COOK

LINTON KWESI JOHNSON, THE DENNIS BOVELL DUB BAND and HOLLIE COOK are among the latest additions to the WOMAD festival in the UK.

LKJ and BOVELL will be getting the festival started on the early bird opening slot on Thursday night (26 July).

The pair have been performing and recording together for more than 20 years, where JOHNSON writes the poems and bass lines, and DENNIS BOVELL produces and arranges the tracks.
