THE BEAT adds more UK dates to tour

Birmingham ska band THE BEAT has added new shows in Plymouth, Wakefield and Sheffield to its upcoming touring schedule.

THE BEAT and JB CONSPIRACY added to Slam Dunk

Ska bands THE BEAT and THE JB CONSPIRACY are among the latest additions to the Slam Dunk Festivals 2016.

They join previously announced acts such as CATCH 22, KING PRAWN and CAPDOWN, among others.

Slam Dunk takes place on the May Bank Holiday weekend (28-30 May) in Leeds, Birmingham and Hatfield. Tickets per show are priced £42.

2Tone ska band THE BEAT has confirmed a long run of UK shows in the coming months.

The 2016 line-up features Ranking Roger and Ranking Junior on vocals with Oscar Harrison on drums, Andy Pearson and Steve Harper on guitars.

THE BEAT added to Bristol Ska & Mod Festival

Top ska act THE BEAT is among the first batch of bands revealed for the Bristol Ska & Mod Festival next year.

The day-long event takes place on 27 March 2016 at Motion and will also feature performances from 2RUDE and THE EMPERIALS, among many others.

Early bird tickets are now available priced at £20.

The London International Ska Festival has revealed THE BEAT and THE INDECISION are among the latest additions to the 2016 bill.

They join recently added acts like ARTHUR KAY & THE ORIGINALS, MR. T-BONE & THE UPPERTONES, plus DJs from Belgium DUKES OF SKAZZARD and PIRATES CREW.

November Skamouth line-up comes together

The November edition of Great Yarmouth’s Skamouth weekender is coming together with THE BEAT, DERRICK MORGAN and ROY ELLIS topping the bill.

Skamouth takes place on 27-30 November at the Vauxhall Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth.

THE SKINTS added to Godiva Festival

East London reggae band THE SKINTS is among the latest additions to this year’s Godiva Festival in Coventry.

The festival will also feature DREADZONE alongside previously announced acts like THE BEAT and THE KUBRICKS.

Godiva Festival takes place on 3-5 July in the War Memorial Park, Coventry, and tickets are free.

Ska acts added to Larmer Tree Festival

Top ska bands THE BEAT, BY THE RIVERS and CHAINSKA BRASSIKA are among the latest additions to the Larmer Tree Festival this summer.

The new acts join previously announced headliner and Jamaican music legend JIMMY CLIFF.

The festival takes place on 15-19 July at Larmer Tree Gardens in Tollard Royal, Wiltshire. Tickets cost £240 for five days.

2Tone ska band THE BEAT is among the latest additions to County Durham’s Hardwick Live Garden Party this summer.

The festival takes place on 22 August at the Hardwick Hall Hotel in Sedgefield. Tickets are priced at £49 in advance and are available now.

BoomTown TrenchTown District revealed

STEPHEN MARLEY, SOJA and BARRINGTON LEVY are among the latest additions to this year’s BoomTown Fair TrenchTown District.

The festival takes place on 13-16 August at the Matterley Estate, near Winchester in Hampshire. Tier three tickets are priced at £155 for the weekend.

New ska group BEAT GOES BANG, featuring original THE BEAT members Everett Morton and Mickey Billingham, will perform for the first time at a pub in Birmingham this Friday.

Morton set the new band up after being “sacked” from the Ranking Roger version of THE BEAT.
