Top reggae and dub acts revealed for Solfest

DREADZONE and ZION TRAIN are among the first acts confirmed for Solfest which returns to Cumbria this summer.

Solfest, which also includes RESONATORS and IRATION STEPPAS, takes place on the bank holiday over 26-28 August at Tarnside Farm near Aspatria. 

Tickets are priced from £89 for the weekend.

More reggae acts revealed for Glastonbury

More than 200 acts can now be revealed for the Silver Hayes dance area of Glastonbury Festival, including reggae acts like THE SKINTS and MUNGO'S HI FI.

Top new additions also include BUNJI GARLIN, JUS NOW, DON LETTS, ROBBO RANX, RONI SIZE REPRAZENT, SHY FX and SKEPTA, among many others.

TWINKLE BROTHERS added to London Intl Ska Fest

The London International Ska Festival has revealed the TWINKLE BROTHERS will perform at this year’s event.

The TWINKLE BROTHERS formed back in 1962 and four years later released their debut single, “Somebody Please Help Me”, for producer Leslie Kong. To date they have released more than 50 albums.

Back in 2011 the TWINKLE BROTHERS put out an album called Gift Of Jah.

Alchemy Festival line-up revealed: ZION TRAIN, TALISMAN & RASTA4EYES

Organisers of the UK’s Alchemy Festival have announced the first acts for the 2013 event including ZION TRAIN, RASTA4EYES and TALISMAN.

The small family-friendly festival takes place on 20-22 September at Scholey Park in Coningsby, Lincolnshire.

The organisers behind BOOMTOWN FAIR have announced a huge indoor festival in Bristol celebrating the official half-way point between its annual summer fairs.

The Boomtown Equinox Party takes place on 22 March 2013 with an impressive line-up of acts, including THE SKINTS, GENTLEMAN’S DUB CLUB, ZION TRAIN and CONGO NATTY.

Dub pioneers ZION TRAIN returned to South London last night (3 February) for a live performance at  Brixton Jamm.
