DAWN PENN heads up Southend Splash

Jamaican reggae singer DAWN PENN will headline the Southend Splash event this summer.

PENN will appear on the bill alongside the likes of DENNIS BOVELL, JAH SCREECHY and many more.

The show takes place on 3 September at the Borough Hotel in Southend with tickets priced £14 in advance.


DAWN PENN to play Bristol Harbour Festival

The music line-up for Bristol’s Harbour Festival 2015 can now be revealed, including Jamaican singer DAWN PENN.

The reggae legend will close proceedings in Queen Square on the Sunday night.

Friday night will feature the community-led FANTASY ORCHESTRA, Canadian Caribbean group KOBO TOWN and Afrobeat band NO GO STOP, among many other acts.


ETANA heads up Sisters Of Reggae show in the UK

Reggae singers ETANA, JANET KAY, CARROLL THOMPSON and DAWN PENN will perform live in London this summer.

The show - which also features performances from AYSHA LOREN, MARLA BROWN and ANGIE LE MAR - takes place on 8 August at indigo at The O2 in Greenwich.


DAWN PENN gets ready for Uxbridge show

Jamaican reggae singer DAWN PENN will perform in Uxbridge this Friday for a special one-off live show.

The gig takes place on 6 June at the No. 8 Club, running from 7pm through to 3am, with tickets priced at £15 in advance.

DAWN PENN and LEE THOMPSON on Jools' Hootenanny

Jamaican singer DAWN PENN and LEE THOMPSON were among the guests performing on Jools' Annual Hootenanny last night.

PENN joined forces with the MADNESS saxophonist on her rocksteady classic “You Don't Love Me” and new single "Bangarang".



Top reggae and dancehall stars gathered in Los Angeles over the weekend to perform at the BET Awards.

Jamaican rocksteady vocalist DAWN PENN, reggae duo CHAKA DEMUS & PLIERS and dancehall stars BEENIE MAN and ELEPHANT MAN put on a “surprise” performance at the ceremony.

FREDDIE MCGREGOR heads up the UK’s One Love Festival

Jamaican singer FREDDIE MCGREGOR will headline the One Love Festival that takes place on 10-12 August at Hop Farm in Kent.

MCGREGOR will be joining previously announced acts DAWN PENN and DENNIS ALCAPONE, as well as FRANKIE PAUL, MACKA B, STYLO G, THE DUALERS, plus many more.

Jamaican singer DAWN PENN performed at the Brixton Jamm in London last night (5 April) to a packed house, kicking off the Easter bank holiday weekend in style.

The ‘Easter Jamm’ night also included DJ sets from the likes of DON LETTS and a performance from rising Bristol MC BUGGSY, among many others.



DAWN PENN lines up big London show at Brixton Jamm

Jamaican singing legend DAWN PENN has lined up a bank holiday performance at the Brixton Jamm in London.

The rocksteady artist will be playing alongside DJ DON LETTSBUGGSY and DEADLY HUNTAamong many others on 5 April.


One Love Festival line-up revealed: DAWN PENN, DENNIS ALCAPONE, HOLLIE COOK + more

The initial acts, including DAWN PENN, DENNIS ALCAPONE and HOLLIE COOK, plus a brand new location have been revealed for the fifth One Love Festival in the UK.

The festival has confirmed that it is moving out of London to the Hop Farm site near Tonbridge in Kent, from 10-12 August 2012, back to the South East where the event started in 2008.

FISHBONE added to London International Ska Festival

The London International Ska Festival is shaping up to be one of the hottest events of 2012 with news of the latest line-up addition: FISHBONE.

The legendary Los Angeles ska/rock group will be joining THE PIONEERS, DANDY LIVINGSTONE and DAWN PENN, among many others.

The band is celebrating 25 years and is currently on the Controlled Substance Sound Labs record label. It's latest EP Crazy Glue came out last month, while a full-length album is reportedly being planned.


THE PIONEERS added to London International Ska Festival

Legendary Jamaican band THE PIONEERS are the latest headline addition to the London International Ska Festival 2012.

The vocal trio, comprising of Sydney Crooks, Jackie Robinson and George Dekker, had an international breakthrough track with “Long Shot Kick De Bucket” (covered by THE SPECIALS), followed by “Give & Take” and JIMMY CLIFF cover “Let Your Yeah Be Yeah”.

Legendary Jamaican singers DANDY LIVINGSTONE and DAWN PENN have been added to the London International Ska Festival 2012 line-up.

DANDY LIVINGSTONE, real name Robert Thompson, is best known for the song “Rudy A Message To You” as well as “Reggae In Your Jeggae” and “People Get Ready”.
