Interview: Danglin from THE WAILERS

Jamaican reggae band THE WAILERS are returning to the UK this November for a big tour of O2 Academy venues. caught up with frontman Dwayne "Danglin" Anglin to find out the political issues on his mind, what it’s like performing with a bass legend, and how he musters the emotion to deliver classic tracks in THE WAILERS back catalogue every night.

Jamaican reggae collective THE WAILERS have announced a 12-date tour around the UK later this year.

The band, which features original bass player ASTON BARRETT, will be performing the album Legend in its entirety.

Jamaican reggae band THE WAILERS will shortly embark on a full UK tour performing the album Legend in its entirety.

Following a sold out UK tour last year and a big performance at Glastonbury this summer, THE WAILERS are back to take their show on the road again.

Fans will hear the iconic album live on stage featuring classics likes “Three Little Birds”, “I Shot The Sheriff” and “Jamming”.

Jamaican musician BUNNY WAILER has added a rare live appearance at The Electric Brixton this July to his UK touring schedule.

He will perform a full set backed by his phenomenal 10-piece band THE SOLOMONIC REGGAESTRA with brass section.


Tickets on sale for BUNNY WAILER Glasgow show

Reggae fans can now buy tickets for Jamaican performer BUNNY WAILER’s upcoming live concert in Glasgow next month.

The legendary founding member of THE WAILERS will be at the O2 ABC in the Scottish city on 29 July.

Tickets go on sale this morning from 9am and are priced at £20 in advance, plus booking fee.


BUNNY WAILER adds another UK show to tour

Jamaican musician BUNNY WAILER has added another UK show to his upcoming tour this summer.

The gig takes place on 25 July at The Ritz in Manchester and tickets are priced at £22.50 to £30 in advance.

Jamaican reggae royalty BUNNY WAILER will be performing live in Brighton this coming July.

Global Beats is putting on the show which takes place on 24 July at Brighton’s Concorde 2 venue.

Tickets cost £20 in advance.

BUNNY WAILER is a founding member of THE WAILERS and three-time Grammy Award winner.



The first acts can now be revealed for Glastonbury 2014 including THE WAILERS, DEXYS and MS DYNAMITE.

BUNNY WAILER slams 'fraudulent' SNOOP LION

Jamaican music legend BUNNY WAILER has accused SNOOP DOGG of faking his SNOOP LION persona to sell records.

The former WAILERS drummer claimed that the forthcoming SNOOP LION album Reincarnated and a documentary of the same name are "fraudulent" and has threatened legal action.


ASTON BARRETT honoured with Bass Player Lifetime Achievement Award

WAILERS bassist ASTON “FAMILY MANY” BARRETT has been given a lifetime achievement award by Bass Player magazine.

The legendary bass player took home the award in recognition for a lifetime of “outstanding contributions to the art, craft and profession of bass playing”.

A special presentation for the award took place on 20 October at the Key Club in Los Angeles.


BOB MARLEY AND THE WAILERS honoured in London with ‘blue plaque’

The BOB MARLEY AND THE WAILERS blue plaque unveiling ceremony finally took place on Saturday (8 September) in Neasden, North West London.

Councillor Muhammed Butt, leader of Brent Council, said how symbolic the ceremony was in recognising the African-Caribbean contribution to the economy. Michael Adeyeye, the mayor of Brent, added that he considered it an honour to be presiding over such a momentous event.
