BERES HAMMOND lines up big UK tour

Jamaican reggae singer BERES HAMMOND has announced a run of UK shows this summer.

Tour support includes CARROLL THOMPSON, JANET KAY and on certain dates MAXI PRIEST.

The lovers rock tour includes the following dates:


MAXI PRIEST to play London show

London-born reggae artist MAXI PRIEST will perform a one-off headline show in London this summer.

The gig takes place on 1 August at the Brooklyn Bowl in London and tickets are priced at £25 in advance. 

MAXI PRIEST’s latest album, Easy To Love, is a fine representation of lovers rock, reggae, R&B and dancehall.



London reggae singer MAXI PRIEST has been added to BERES HAMMOND’s show in Leeds alongside lovers rock performers CARROLL THOMPSON and JANET KAY.

The big gig takes place on 11 July at the O2 Academy in Leeds, with tickets priced at £35 in advance.

British reggae singer MAXI PRIEST has announced two shows in the UK this December including dates in Manchester and Brighton.

The Manchester date is part of the Big New Years Eve Ball which also features FRANKIE PAUL and SANDRA CROSS, among others.

The night runs from 10pm through to 6am with tickets priced at £35.

British singer MAXI PRIEST says reggae artists need to follow in the footsteps of US rappers, according to a new interview with UK newspaper The Voice.

“America and the hip-hop scene has been massively successful because they have lawyers, accountants and business people as their peers – they haven’t had to go to another race of people for information,” PRIEST said.


LUCIANO lines up Bristol show with MAXI PRIEST & BLACK ROOTS

Jamaican reggae singer LUCIANO will headline the O2 Academy in Bristol in May with support from MAXI PRIEST and BLACK ROOTS.

The show takes place on 4 May and tickets go on sale tomorrow (25 January) from 9am, expected to be priced at £25.


Edward Seaga selects Origins Of Jamaican Music tracks

Former Jamaican Prime Minister (1980-89) Edward Seaga has picked out 100 songs for Origins of Jamaican Music which will be released via VP Records.

The four-CD box set will be launched with a promotion tour in late October and officially released on 6 November.
