GULLY BOP lands in UK for big tour

Dancehall deejay GULLY BOP has arrived in the UK and is set to embark on his first ever tour outside of Jamaica.

GULLY BOP told the Jamaica Observer: “Well them say me never a go make it at Jamworld. Say me can’t pass Christmas to the new year, but who God bless no man curse.”

GULLY BOP lines up UK tour dates

Jamaican dancehall artist GULLY BOP has lined up a number of tour dates around the UK next month.

So far the only confirmed date of the tour takes place on 29 March at the Electric Brixton with tickets on sale for £27.50 plus booking fee.


Guardian puts out New Year reggae playlist

Erin MacLeod has selected for The Guardian newspaper five of the islands’ 2014 ‘earworm rhythms’.

The list features 1980s dancehall revivalists NOTIS & IBA MAHR featuring TARRUS RILEY, dancehall sensation GULLY BOP otherwise known as COUNTRY MAN, rasta-inspired bashment artist KABAKA PYRAMID, and some soca from OLATUNJI and FAY-ANN LYONS.
