November Skamouth line-up comes together

The November edition of Great Yarmouth’s Skamouth weekender is coming together with THE BEAT, DERRICK MORGAN and ROY ELLIS topping the bill.

Skamouth takes place on 27-30 November at the Vauxhall Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth.

Jazz Café to host BUNNY LEE birthday

The Jazz Café in London will host BUNNY “STRIKER” LEE’s birthday celebrations towards the end of the year.

The show takes place on 23 November with tickets priced at £12 in advance.

The line-up of artists performing on the night is yet to be revealed.

Last year BUNNY LEE put out a 21-track compilation called Full Up on Pressure Sounds.

BUNNY 'STRIKER' LEE lines up London events

Top Jamaican producer BUNNY “STRIKER” LEE has lined up a couple of events in London this month including a signing in Soho and a birthday celebration concert in Camden.

LEE will be appearing at Dub Vendor in Soho to celebrate the release of his film ‘I Am The Gorgon’.

For the opportunity to come and meet LEE in person, the CD, DVD and book signing event takes place on 15 November from 3pm to 5pm.

I Am The Gorgon comes to Bristol, plus Q&A with BUNNY LEE

As part of Black History Month, The Watershed in Bristol will be hosting a special screening of ‘I Am The Gorgon’, including a Q&A session with legendary producer BUNNY “STRIKER” LEE.

The brand new film is based on the life of BUNNY LEE and how Jamaican music spread from the ghettoes of Kingston around the globe.

BOB MARLEY AND THE WAILERS honoured in London with ‘blue plaque’

The BOB MARLEY AND THE WAILERS blue plaque unveiling ceremony finally took place on Saturday (8 September) in Neasden, North West London.

Councillor Muhammed Butt, leader of Brent Council, said how symbolic the ceremony was in recognising the African-Caribbean contribution to the economy. Michael Adeyeye, the mayor of Brent, added that he considered it an honour to be presiding over such a momentous event.
