MORGAN HERITAGE picks up Grammy Award

Jamaican reggae group MORGAN HERITAGE has won a Grammy Award in the ‘Best Reggae Album’ category.

The Royal family of reggae picked up the award for Strictly Roots - their first independently released album.

The band beat off stiff competition from the likes of LUCIANO, JAH CURE, BARRINGTON LEVY and ROCKY DAWUNI.


Jamaicans dominate Grammy reggae shortlist

Four Jamaican acts have been shortlisted in the ‘Best Reggae Album’ category for the 2016 Grammy Awards.

The National Academy of Recording, Arts and Sciences revealed the nominees for the 58th annual Grammys yesterday.

The Guardian puts out new reggae playlist

Erin MacLeod has selected some new tracks for The Guardian’s reggae, dancehall and soca playlist, featuring BEENIE MAN, MR VEGAS and MORGAN HERITAGE.

The selection also includes conscious roots from SISTER NANCY as well as up-and-coming dancehall artist DEXTA DAPS.

Jamaican reggae group MORGAN HERITAGE has announced four shows as part of a mini-tour across the UK next month.

After last year’s reunion success, the full group is back for an ‘up close and personal’ journey around England.

MORGAN HERITAGE reveals London show

The royal family of reggae, MORGAN HERITAGE, has announced a live show in South London in the coming weeks.

The Electric Brixton gig is presented by Bass Inc and takes place on 6 April with tickets priced at £22.50.



The BERES HAMMONDMORGAN HERITAGE and MARCIA GRIFFITHS tour was billed as a one-off opportunity for UK fans, but the words “too good to be true” turned out to be the case on the eve of the tour.


BERES HAMMOND backs out of UK tour but shows go on

Legendary Jamaican singer BERES HAMMOND has backed out of his UK tour this week, however, supporting acts MORGAN HERITAGE and MARCIA GRIFFITHS have vowed to complete the shows without him.



Reggae royalty MORGAN HERITAGE and MARCIA GRIFFITHS have been added to BERES HAMMOND’s tour of the UK later this summer.

DENROY MORGAN spared a jail term

Jamaican music legend DENROY MORGAN has walked free from the US District Court in lower Manhattan after drug charges were scaled down to misdemeanour.

On 14 September 2011 MORGAN was charged with possession of 25 pounds of marijuana in the Bronx, New York. 


MOJO MORGAN signs record deal for new album

Independent record label Krian Music Group has announced the signing of MORGAN HERITAGE percussionist and vocalist MOJO MORGAN just weeks after his health scare.

As reported in the Jamaica Star, the lead single off his solo debut, “New Dawn”, will be available digitally on 4 December.


MOJO from MORGAN HERITAGE issues statement: 'I’m on my way once again'

MORGAN HERITAGE member Memo "MR MOJO" Morgan has finally released a statement regarding his state of health after being admitted to hospital on 17 October.

MORGAN fell ill at Circle House studio in Miami, and was taken to Aventura Hospital and Medical Center.

MORGAN HERITAGE member MemoMR MOJOMorgan is now in a stable condition after being hospitalised last weekend.

As reported in the Jamaica Observer his blood pressure became elevated due to a viral infection, however his “vital signs have since normalised”


MOJO from MORGAN HERITAGE hospitalised

Memo “MR MOJO” Morgan, a member of reggae group MORGAN HERITAGE, has been admitted to hospital in Miami, Florida.

As reported in the Jamaica Observer, family members said he was working with his siblings on mixing the new MORGAN HERITAGE album.

The artist fell ill on Wednesday night (17 October) at Circle House in Miami.


MORGAN HERITAGE releases new single: ‘The Return’

Reggae band MORGAN HERITAGE has dropped a new single “The Return” from their upcoming album of the same name which is due out later this year.

GRAMPS MORGAN donates to murdered Florida teen’s family; new album & tour later this month

US reggae artist ROY "GRAMPS" MORGAN will be donating the proceeds from his latest single to the family of Trayvon Martin who was gunned down in Florida on 26 February.

MORGAN's record label, Dada Son, is donating a portion of the proceeds from the iTunes sales of “Life Too Short”.
