BoomTown TrenchTown District revealed

STEPHEN MARLEY, SOJA and BARRINGTON LEVY are among the latest additions to this year’s BoomTown Fair TrenchTown District.

The festival takes place on 13-16 August at the Matterley Estate, near Winchester in Hampshire. Tier three tickets are priced at £155 for the weekend.

ALBOROSIE, MATISYAHU, CHAM, TURBULENCE, CUTTY RANKS, WARD 21, KATCHAFIRE, DAVID RODIGAN, NATTY, GENTLEMAN'S DUB CLUB, JAH MASON, DEMOLITION MAN and MUNGOS HI FI are coming to the Lion’s Den at this summer's BoomTown Fair.

Sicilian reggae star ALBOROSIE has announced his debut London show at the Electric Brixton in South London next month.

The big gig takes place on 10 April where the singer will be backed by the SHENGEN CLAN band and supported by MR FASO of ROOTIKAL and the BRIXTON HEIGHTS CREW.

Journey To Jah: ‘be part of the film’

The film makers of a new reggae documentary Journey To Jah need the public’s support to help finance the remaining part of the project.

A short video clip below reveals what kind of content you can expect if the film is completed, urging supporters to “join the family...be part of the film”.

German film directors Noël Dernesch and Moritz Springer have been working on the film for the last six years and now need to close a funding shortfall of US$60,000.

JAH CURE axed from MOBO Awards

Reggae artist JAH CURE has been dropped from the UK’s MOBO Awards after organisers found out he was a convicted rapist.

The Jamaican singer, whose real name is Siccature Alcock, was up for the "Best Reggae Act" at this year’s Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards
