TIPPA IRIE lines up Nottingham show

London reggae artist TIPPA IRIE will perform live in Nottingham this May.

The show takes place on 13 May at The Maze with tickets priced £8-10 in advance and more on the door.

Support on the night comes from Afrofunk-reggae act BLESSING MAGORE of Zimbabwe and Nottingham reggae band UJAHM.



Affinity Arts Entertainment returns with the annual Mothers’ Day comedy and music showcase in London featuring PETER HUNNIGALE and TIPPA IRIE.

The ‘Touch Of Class’ evening also includes live music from the likes of DON CAMPBELL, OMAR and host STAMINA.


TIPPA IRIE to headline Lewisham People's Day

Reggae musician TIPPA IRIE will head up Lewisham’s 31st People’s Day this summer.

Lewisham People's Day takes place on 11 July at Mountsfield Park in Catford, South London.

The event is South East London’s biggest free festival, which in previous years has featured performances from THE BEAT, DREADZONE and UNITED VIBRATIONS, among many others.

UK reggae singer TIPPA IRIE has announced a special show at Camden’s famous Jazz Café venue later this year.

The ‘Tippa Irie & Friends’ show takes place on 5 October and tickets cost £19.50 in advance.


TIPPA IRIE heads up Reggae Xmas Dance

British reggae singer TIPPA IRIE will next month headline the Reggae Xmas Dance in Aldershot, Hampshire.

With Christmas and New Year’s Eve dances getting booked out early this year, the South London artist is set to perform alongside DA VINCI SOUND and HUSTLERS HIFI on 30 November at The George.

The full line-up of live acts set to perform at the British Reggae Industry Awards 2012 can now be revealed.


New MAFIA & FLUXY riddim; plus show at the Coronet tonight with CHAM & BUGLE

London-based rhythm section MAFIA & FLUXY have dropped the Live and Love Riddim featuring an eclectic mix of artists such as LITTLE ROY, TIPPA IRIE and THE PIONEERS.

The duo - Leroy “Mafia” Heywood and Dave “Fluxy” Heywood - are also set to perform tonight (12 August) at the Coronet in London alongside CHAM and BUGLE.


Top 10 Valentine reggae nights in the UK 2012 has taken a look at the top reggae and dancehall Valentine parties that are happening across the UK later this month. 

Valentine's Day is straddled between two weekends this year, so the following list includes shows taking place over nine days in mid-February.

JOHN HOLT lines up UK shows in February 2012

Legendary reggae singer JOHN HOLT has lined up two big shows in Bristol and Cardiff early on in the New Year.

To celebrate nearly 40 years since the release of his biggest selling album 1000 Volts Of Holt, the former PARAGONS lead singer will be performing the record in its entirety at the shows.

The ‘1000 Volts Of Holt Tour 2012’ takes in Cardiff University Students’ Union in Wales and then on to the Malcolm X Centre in St Pauls, Bristol.
