ELEPHANT MAN cleared of rape charge

Rape charges against dancehall artist ELEPHANT MAN, real name O’Neil Bryan, have been dropped after the complainant died last month.

Bryan appeared in Jamaica’s Home Circuit Court on charges of rape, buggery and grievous sexual assault, but the prosecution said it could offer no evidence against him because the complainant passed away on 17 January.


ELEPHANT MAN rape trial rescheduled

The rape trial of dancehall artist ELEPHANT MAN failed to get underway in Jamaica’s Home Circuit Court and the matter has now been rescheduled to 29 November. 

According to the Jamaica Gleaner, 'The Energy God's' trial was pushed back because the prosecution “could not find the case”.



Top reggae and dancehall stars gathered in Los Angeles over the weekend to perform at the BET Awards.

Jamaican rocksteady vocalist DAWN PENN, reggae duo CHAKA DEMUS & PLIERS and dancehall stars BEENIE MAN and ELEPHANT MAN put on a “surprise” performance at the ceremony.

The second full-length album by MAJOR LAZER, Free the Universe, is set for release tomorrow (15 April).

The new record, out on Mad Decent, features appearances by a host of Jamaican artists including ELEPHANT MAN, VYBZ KARTEL and BUSY SIGNAL, among many others.


ELEPHANT MAN rape case postponed until February

Dancehall deejay ELEPHANT MAN, real name O’Neil Bryan, will return to court in February after his ongoing rape case was postponed.

Urban Islandz reports that the Jamaican singer appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s court on 30 October to answer the charges.

However, the case was delayed due to the shortcoming of a long-overdue forensic report and other outstanding documents.

ELEPHANT MAN charged with grevious sexual assault and rape

Jamaican dancehall artist ELEPHANT MAN, real name O’Niel Bryan, has been charged with “grevious sexual assault and rape”.

According to the Jamaica Observer he was taken into police custody yesterday for questioning by detectives.


New ELEPHANT MAN tracks for January 2012: ‘Gal Settings’ and ‘On Di 2012’

Jamaican dancehall artist ELEPHANT MAN has two new tracks out so far this month - “Gal Settings” on Di Genius Records and ‘On Di 2012’ from Mafio House Productions.

‘Gal Settings’ was produced by Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor and inspired by RIHANNA’s single ‘We Found Love’.

Jamaican dancehall musician ELEPHANT MAN has angered his fans in Uganda after failing to perform at a recent show, according

The 'Let's Get Physical' concert was originally planned for the Cricket Oval in Lugogo, but organisers failed to pay the UGX40 million (£10,417) rent.

The show was then moved to the Kati Kati grounds, but ELEPHANT MAN refused to go on stage after the promoters failed to settle his wages.
