FREDDIE MCGREGOR heads up Legends UK tour

The 'Legends Of Reggae' tour will hit Brixton and Birmingham this year featuring headline act FREDDIE MCGREGOR.

The Jamaican performer will be joined by fellow legends I-OCTANE, MARCIA GRIFFITHS and JUNIOR REID.

The dates are:

Jamaican singer MARCIA GRIFFITHS has announced the rescheduled dates for her upcoming UK tour.

The tour also features performances from BOB ANDY, JUDY MOWATT, TANYA STEPHENS and RICHIE SPICE, with tickets priced from £27.50 to £30.


MARCIA GRIFFITHS slams promoter over tour setback

Jamaican singer MARCIA GRIFFITHS has criticised the promoter of her UK tour for a “lack of professionalism” after all shows were canned at the eleventh hour.

A UK tour featuring MARCIA GRIFFITHS and friends which was due to kick off today has been “postponed”, according to Academy Music Group. 

A new date is expected to be announced in due course.


MARCIA GRIFFITHS reveals UK tour in May

Reggae singer MARCIA GRIFFITHS has announced a four-date tour around the UK this May featuring some big acts from Jamaica.

The show will feature BOB ANDY, JUDY MOWATT and TANYA STEPHENS as well as special guest RICHIE SPICE.

They will be backed by the 809 BAND and the event will be hosted by DADDY ERNIE and DJ DADDY FRIDGE.


MARCIA GRIFFITHS awarded Jamaican honour

Queen of reggae MARCIA GRIFFITHS has been given a national award, the Order of Distinction in the rank of commander, at a ceremony in Jamaica.

The awards ceremony took place at Kings House, St Andrew, on National Heroes Day (20 October).

The prestigious award comes as the singer celebrates 50 years in the music industry.


MARCIA GRIFFITHS cancels London show

Jamaican “Queen of Reggae” singer MARCIA GRIFFITHS has cancelled an upcoming show at the IndigO2 in London.

According to The O2 website, the gig is now cancelled. 

It put up the following statement: 

“Due to unforeseen circumstances this show is no longer able to go ahead. Please contact your point of purchase for refunds.”


MARCIA GRIFFITHS to get top Jamaican honour

Jamaican reggae singer MARCIA GRIFFITHS is set to receive the Order of Distinction (commander class) in the country's annual 'National Honours and Awards'.

As reported in the Jamaica Observer, GRIFFITHS will pick up the honour at a ceremony on 20 October at King's House in Kingston.

BERES HAMMOND backs out of UK tour but shows go on

Legendary Jamaican singer BERES HAMMOND has backed out of his UK tour this week, however, supporting acts MORGAN HERITAGE and MARCIA GRIFFITHS have vowed to complete the shows without him.


Legendary producer HARRY J passes away

One of reggae’s top producers in the 1970s, HARRY JOHNSON known popularly as HARRY J, has passed away aged 67 after a long battle with diabetes.

According to the Jamaica Observer, the producer died at the Savanna-la-Mar Hospital in his native Westmoreland on 3 April.



Reggae royalty MORGAN HERITAGE and MARCIA GRIFFITHS have been added to BERES HAMMOND’s tour of the UK later this summer.
