FREDDIE MCGREGOR heads up Legends UK tour

The 'Legends Of Reggae' tour will hit Brixton and Birmingham this year featuring headline act FREDDIE MCGREGOR.

The Jamaican performer will be joined by fellow legends I-OCTANE, MARCIA GRIFFITHS and JUNIOR REID.

The dates are:


I-OCTANE lines up 2015 Brixton show

Jamaican artist I-OCTANE will perform at ‘More Life For 2015’ at the O2 Academy Brixton next year.

Reggae greats MACKA DIAMOND, KALIDO, STONE LOVE and MIGHTY CROWN are also set to appear on the line-up.

The show takes place on 24 May 2015 at the O2 Academy Brixton from 10pm. Tickets cost £21 in advance, plus booking fee.


Reggae Salute comes to Birmingham

Classical Promotions and The Drum are bringing 'Reggae Salute' to Birmingham next month featuring live performances from LUCIANO, I-OCTANE, CHRISTOPHER MARTIN, ETANA and CHUCK FENDA.

The big show takes place at the Tower Ballroom on 28 September and tickets are priced at £30.


LUCIANO heads up Reggae Salute at Brixton Academy

Jamaican reggae singer LUCIANO will headline Reggae Salute at the O2 Academy in Brixton along with I-OCTANE, ETANA, CHRISTOPHER MARTIN and CHUCK FENDA later this summer.


I-OCTANE hospitalised after asthma attack

Reggae singer I-OCTANE has been hospitalised following an asthma attack, as reported in the Jamaica Star.

The artist, real name is Byiome Muir, was admitted last week to a Kingston-based hospital. A member of his team told the Star that the singer suffered an asthma attack.


One Love Peace Festival line-up revealed: BUNNY WAILER, BARRINGTON LEVY, CAPLETON & DIDDY

The line-up for London’s One Love Peace Festival can now be revealed, featuring top reggae artists BUNNY WAILER, BARRINGTON LEVY and CAPLETON, among many others.

Other highlights of this year's festival include performances from LUCIANOKHAGOI-OCTANE, STYLO G and DIDDY


Top acts confirmed for Amsterdam Reggae Festival

The official line-up for the sixth edition of the Amsterdam Reggae Festival can now be revealed.

The show will take place on 26 February 2012 at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and includes the following artists:


New release date set for I-OCTANE studio album

Rising Jamaican musician I-OCTANE will put out his debut album Crying To The Nation on 13 February rather than the previously announced end-of-January target.

VP/Greensleeves are releasing the new record, which features a number of new tracks with the likes of AGENT SASCO, TARRUS RILEY and ALBOROSIE.

I-OCTANE debut album: full details now available

Jamaican artist I-OCTANE is on track to release an EP, Straight From the Heart, on 6 December followed by his long-awaited debut album on 31 January 2012.

The 17-track album, Crying To The Nation, will be released on VP Records and is set to feature brand new tracks alongside well-known songs “My Life”, “Study You Friend “and “Loose A Friend”.


I-OCTANE & ASSASSIN lined up for Guinness concert

Guinness Caribbean is hosting “Arthur Guinness Day Live” in Jamaica – a concert 'simulcast' [simultaneous broadcast] featuring dancehall artists ASSASSIN and I-OCTANE.

According to the Jamaica Gleaner the event will feature live footage via regional TV and online streaming to fans across the Caribbean.


Dancehall stars turn out for CAPLETON show

Jamaican dancehall artists I-OCTANE, KHAGO and TEFLON all put their differences aside to perform onstage together at CAPLETON’s annual “St. Mary Mi Come From” show.

According to the Jamaica Observer CAPLETON invited the three to join him onstage after 3am (on 6 August) at the Grays Inn Sport Complex in Annotto Bay.


JAH VINCI added to Reggae Sumfest line-up

Dancehall musician JAH VINCI has been confirmed to perform at Reggae Sumfest 2011 later this month.

In a statement he said:

"The festival is certainly the biggest platform in the Caribbean for a reggae artiste to showcase his craft and this will be my first opportunity to work a complete set as a solo act, and I will not disappoint my fans"
