MADNESS reveals Clapham Common show

London ska band MADNESS will play a big show on Clapham Common this summer.

The one-day ‘House of Common’ event takes place on the August bank holiday on 29 August.

The band will be joined by 20 like-minded bands and DJs, hand-picked by the band themselves.

Date set for Midlands Roots Explosion Volume Two

Reggae Archive Records is set to release The Midlands Roots Explosion Volume Two on 20 May.

The album will be available on double vinyl in a luxurious gatefold sleeve, CD and digital download.

The first volume was released last year and saw the culmination of many years work spent tracking down artists and tapes to shine a light on one of England's greatest, yet most overlooked musical scenes.

Date set for Africa Oyé Festival

Details can now be revealed for Liverpool’s free family-friendly Africa Oyé Festival this summer.

Africa Oyé takes place on 18-19 June at Sefton Park in Liverpool, returning to celebrate its 24th year.

The festival organisers have yet to announce any of the acts yet for the 2016 event.

Last year Jamaican dancehall reggae artist FRANKIE PAUL headlined the festival.

Giants of Lovers Rock tickets on sale now

The organisers of ‘Giants of Lovers Rock’ have announced part 10 of the concert series for later this year.

The show takes place on 1 October at indigo at The O2, near Greenwich in south east London.

Tickets go on sale today priced at £25-75 in advance.

ERNEST RANGLIN to play London this summer

Seminal Jamaican musician ERNEST RANGLIN has announced a live show in the capital this summer.

The show, billed as ‘ERNEST RANGLIN and Friends’ with support from all-female band NERIJA, takes place on 27 June at the Barbican.

Tickets cost £15 to £30 in advance.

Birmingham reggae band UB40 has announced it will return to Cornwall to play Falmouth's Event Square this summer.

The organisers behind Nozstock can now reveal ska and reggae acts including GENTLEMAN’S DUB CLUB for this year's line-up.

Jamaican reggae group MORGAN HERITAGE has won a Grammy Award in the ‘Best Reggae Album’ category.

The Royal family of reggae picked up the award for Strictly Roots - their first independently released album.

The band beat off stiff competition from the likes of LUCIANO, JAH CURE, BARRINGTON LEVY and ROCKY DAWUNI.
