PRINCE FATTY takes on the Drunken Gambler: out now

British producer PRINCE FATTY has dropped his third full-length album, Prince Fatty Versus the Drunken Gambler, available now.

The 10-track concept album includes both originals and covers, mixing “hip hop fantasy and reggae reality”.

The renowned sound engineer, real name Mike Pelanconi, has lined up a host of guest artists for the record including HOLLIE COOK, HORSEMAN, WINSTON FRANCIS, DENNIS ALCAPONE and GEORGE DEKKER from THE PIONEERS.

The first single from the album is a reggae take on OL’ DIRTY BASTARD’s “Got Your Money” with HOLLIE COOK and HORSEMAN on vocals, complimented by a cover of MAX ROMEO’s “Wet Dream” on the other side.

PRINCE FATTY said: “I was sad when Ol’ Dirty passed away and for me the great hip-hop era ended with him, this was a way to honor him.

“Of course we love Kung Fu, vintage public service announcements and dub. With a mix of fantasy and reality I present Prince Fatty versus the Drunken Gambler.”

The vinyl LP and CD are in stock now.
