I-OCTANE hospitalised after asthma attack

Reggae singer I-OCTANE has been hospitalised following an asthma attack, as reported in the Jamaica Star.

The artist, real name is Byiome Muir, was admitted last week to a Kingston-based hospital. A member of his team told the Star that the singer suffered an asthma attack.

His management team issued the following statement: “Reggae/Dancehall artiste I-Octane has recently been admitted to the hospital after falling ill late last week. He is now under the care of his physician and though recuperating, he has been advised by his doctor to rest until further reassessment. As a result, I-Octane will be unable to honor some of the commitments previously scheduled. Based on discussions with his doctor he is expected to make a full recovery and is looking forward to performing for his fans.”

Earlier this year I-OCTANE released his debut album Crying to the Nation on VP/Greensleeves.
