End of an era

After more than five years writing about live reggae shows around the UK I’ve decided it’s time to shut down my site,

With declining traffic in recent months and few commercial opportunities on the table I’ve run out of steam to help sustain the site’s future.

It's been illuminating to learn more about two growing passions in my life - live music and Jamaican culture.

I count myself very lucky to have met and interviewed the likes of BUNNY LEE, UB40, NATTY, PROTOJE, THE WAILERS, DAWN PENN, THE SLACKERS, DJ DEREK, THE SELECTER and BERES HAMMOND, among others over the years.

I’ve also had the chance to work with some amazing concert promoters, record companies, venue owners, festival organisers and PRs that make live reggae music happen.

I’m planning to leave all existing content on the site visible for the foreseeable future, but will not be updating the listings or news sections going forward.

The initial purpose of was to shine a light on this often marginalised music, and I sincerely hope the live reggae music scene continues to grow and thrive in the years ahead.

Thanks, it’s been a blast!
