Reggae singer FREDERICK “TOOTS” HIBBERT has settled a US$20m lawsuit he filed against organisers of Dominion Riverrock.

Back in 2013 the TOOTS AND THE MAYTALS singer was hit on the head with a vodka bottle during a live performance at the festival.

A Richmond Circuit Court judge recently dismissed the case at the request of lawyers representing Hibbert and the festival organisers.

The two parties did not disclose details of the settlement.

William C Lewis was originally charged after throwing the bottle at Hibbert. He pleaded guilty to assault and battery and was sentenced to 12 months in jail with six months suspended.

According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch Hibbert has since resumed scheduling shows after a hiatus spent recuperating from the injuries.

In 2012 TOOTS AND THE MAYTALS put out Reggae Got Soul: Unplugged On Strawberry Hill via Metropolis.
