DENNIS ALCAPONE & WINSTON FRANCIS line up Studio One show

ROOTIKAL will next month hosts its annual salute to Jamaican record label Studio One, featuring live PAs from DENNIS ALCAPONE and WINSTON FRANCIS.

WINSTON FRANCIS started his recording career at Studio One in the late 1960s with tracks like “Mr Fix-It”, “Groovy Situation” and later “Let's Go To Zion”.

DENNIS ALCAPONE’s 1971 Forever Version album saw him toast on versions of Coxsone Dodd-produced hits like “Baby Why”, “Love Me Forever” and “A Love I Can Feel”.

Special guest selector ABA SHANTI I will also be on the bill dropping a special Studio One selection.

Along with the ROOTIKAL crew of DAVID HILL, MR FASO and STUART PATTERSON, the night will feature TINY T and OXMAN from SKA LAVIN.

The Rootikal Annual Studio One Special takes place at the Prince of Wales on 4 October from 7pm through to 4am, with tickets priced from £6 (early bird) up to £9 in advance.
