BUJU BANTON & DELLY RANX team up on new single

Jamaican musicians BUJU BANTON and DELLY RANX have teamed up on an upcoming single entitled “Thunder Roll”.

The Pure Music Productions track will be released shortly and will be available on all major digital outlets.

Here’s a preview of the track:

The single was recorded while BUJU BANTON, real name Mark Myrie, was released on bail and awaiting trial.

The proceeds of the single will be donated to a commissary account for Myrie, who was sentenced last week to 10 years in a US prison.

Myrie could be released after six years for good behaviour and due to the fact that he has already spent 18 months in prison throughout the trial.

Earlier this year he was found guilty of conspiring to negotiate a drug deal in a police controlled warehouse in Florida in 2009.

BUJU BANTON will not be able to record in prison, but has already completed some tracks for a new album co-produced with BLACKER DREAD, expected to be released in 2012 on Gargamel Music.

Last week Myrie revealed that he is planning to get a master's degree by the time his sentence is served.

The “Thunder Roll” track will also be featured on DELLY RANX's upcoming EP One Away Soldier. The dancehall deejay, born Delroy Isaac Foster, produced the track and is currently in the studio finishing off the EP which is slated for release in the autumn, followed by a promotional tour.
