KARTEL granted JMD$3m bail

Dancehall deejay VYBZ KARTEL was granted bail to the sum of JMD$3 million (£21,496) when he appeared in Jamaica’s Home Circuit Court yesterday.

He was granted bail on the murder charge relating to the death of Barrington 'Bossie' Bryan who was shot dead in Gregory Park, St Catherine last year.

According to the Jamaica Observer, KARTEL whose real name is Adidja Palmer will remain in prison as he faces another murder charge in relation the death of Clive 'Lizard' Williams.

He is expected to return to court on 13 April.

He appeared in court on a separate drugs trial on Wednesday, but this has now been put off until 13 April due to the no-show of witnesses.
