MARLEY film to hit cinemas next month; One Love Party lined up in Bristol

The eagerly anticipated documentary about reggae legend BOB MARLEY, entitled ‘Marley’, will hit cinemas worldwide from 20 April.

To celebrate the opening weekend of the film, the Watershed in Bristol will be hosting a special One Love Party to follow the evening show on 21 April.

The One Love Party will take place in the Café/Bar from 11pm until 1am and is set to feature a ‘vintage’ Jamaican sound system – “a celebration of all things reggae and roots with an old school twist”.

According to the Watershed the party will be led by Downbeat Melody selector Steve Rice, featuring special guests including veteran mic man Champian, John Stapleton (Wanted Records) and Peter D (More Rockers/Smith & Mighty).

The after party is a free event, however ticket holders to the 21 April screening of 'Marley' will get priority entry.

The Watershed will be screening 'Marley' from 20 April for at least two weeks.

Academy Award-winning director Kevin McDonald took on the challenge to chart the life and times of Marley - alongside ZIGGY MARLEY and Island Records’ founder Chris Blackwell as executive producers – and represents the first time his family has contributed directly to a re-telling of the musician’s life.
