STEPHEN MARLEY dismisses Forbes article

Jamaican musician STEPHEN MARLEY has come out against a recent article in Forbes Magazine which questioned whether the heirs to the BOB MARLEY estate were destroying the legacy of the late artist.

Jamaica’s Sunday Observer caught up with STEPHEN MARLEY at the Bob Marley Museum in St Andrew last week, where he defended his family's business decisions.

According to the newspaper MARLEY said: "Who is Forbes magazine and what dem know bout we and our father?," and then quoted a line from one of his father's songs: "They've got so much tings to say right now, they've got so much tings to say. That me have to tell them."

Forbes published the article in December, entitled "Are Bob Marley's heirs destroying his legacy?", which centred on a recent court battle between the Marley family and BOB MARLEY's half-brother, Richard Booker, over copyright issues.

Last week STEPHEN MARLEY won his tenth Grammy in the ‘Best Reggae Album’ category for Revelation Pt 1: The Root of Life.
