LINTON KWESI JOHNSON and CARYL PHILLIPS reveal British Library event

As part of Black History Month, poet and political activist LINTON KWESI JOHNSON joins CARYL PHILLIPS, novelist and academic, in conversation at the British Library in London.

Both writers have inspired generations with thoughtful and incisive writing looking at notions of identity.

JOHNSON’s rhythm-infused lyrics and PHILLIPS’ concise prose explore racial oppression and question what it means to belong.

The event, which takes place on 4 October, will be chaired by cultural journalist and broadcaster Maya Jaggi.

Tickets are priced at £7.50 and are available from the British Library website.
