DENNIS BROWN tribute to kick off ‘Reggae Month’

The Jamaica Reggae Industry Association (JaRIA) - in partnership with the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) and through the support of the ministries of Tourism & Entertainment and Youth & Culture - is kicking off ‘Reggae Month’ with a DENNIS BROWN tribute concert.

According to the Jamaica Gleaner, the show is set to take place on 29 January and will feature the following artists: DAMIAN MARLEY, STEPHEN MARLEY, TARRUS RILEY, COCOA TEA, JUNIOR REID, BERES HAMMOND, HALF PINT and KEN BOOTHE.

The theme, ‘Reggae 50: Jamaica's Heart and Soul’ will celebrate 50 years of Jamaican independence and music.

JaRIA's signature event ‘Reggae Nights’ also opens on 1 February with a celebration of musical heritage through classical, jazz, mento and ska music, showcasing the JAMAICA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, GILZENE AND THE BLUE LIGHT MENTO BAND, MAURICE GORDON and many other acts.
