BLACK UHURU announces more shows in Bristol, Manchester, Leeds & Exeter

Legendary Jamaican reggae band BLACK UHURU has added more dates to its UK tour next month including shows in Bristol, Manchester, Leeds and Exeter.

The run of shows now includes:

  • 13 Aug - Concorde 2, Brighton
  • 14 Aug - Islington Assembly Hall, London
  • 16 Aug - Lakota, Bristol [BRISTOL SUMFEST]
  • 17 Aug - Damyns Hall Aerodrome, Essex [ONE LOVE]
  • 23 Aug - Phoenix, Exeter 
  • 24 Aug - The Drum, Birmingham [CULTURE ROOTS SHOWCASE]
  • 25 Aug - Leeds [LEEDS CARNIVAL]
  • 25 Aug - Band On The Wall, Manchester 

BLACK UHURU was formed in Jamaica in the early 1970s by Euvin “Don Carlos” Spencer, Rudolph “Garth” Dennis, and Derrick “Duckie” Simpson

After numerous line-up changes over the years, the 2013 band consists of Duckie Simpson, Andrew Bees and Kay Starr.
