BERES HAMMOND backs out of UK tour but shows go on

Legendary Jamaican singer BERES HAMMOND has backed out of his UK tour this week, however, supporting acts MORGAN HERITAGE and MARCIA GRIFFITHS have vowed to complete the shows without him.

According to the O2 Academy websites HAMMOND pulled out due to “unforeseen circumstances”, but another great support is due to perform alongside GRIFFITHS and MORGAN HERITAGE.

Full refunds are available from point of purchase for customers who choose not to attend the concerts.

As rumoured across various social media posts, the altered tour came about after HAMMOND’s drummer was refused entry into the UK.

Here’s a post from promoters Base Incorporated and Bigga Tings:

Due to circumstances beyond our control BERES HAMMOND will not be appearing for his UK tour due start this week July 17 – 21, 2013. Reason being a member of his Band was refused at Immigration and Passport control and was unable to enter into the country. His refusal led to Beres Hammond deciding not to perform after he was giving an opportunity to use a substitute.

His actions have left everybody very disappointed and he has now returned back to Jamaica.

To avoid further disappointment we have decided to let the show continue with MORGAN HERITAGE & MARCIA GRIFFITHS and were are currently negotiating with another top reggae artist to appear on the bill.

Those of you wishing a full refund please return your tickets in full to your place of purchase.

Once again we a deeply sorry for the disappointment and inconvenienced caused.”

  • 18 Jul - O2 Academy, Bristol
  • 19 Jul - New Bingley Hall, Birmingham
  • 20 Jul - Cathedral House, Huddersfield
