AMY WINEHOUSE ‘Our Day Will Come’ (reggae version): new video released

Universal-Island Records has released the official video for AMY WINEHOUSE’s rocksteady take on the track “Our Day Will Come”.

Originally recorded in May 2002 for her first studio album Frank (produced by Salaam Remi) but then shelved, here it is:

The single, the first off her posthumous album Lioness: Hidden Treasure, was originally a number one hit for US doo wop group RUBY & THE ROMANTICS in 1963, written by Bob Hilliard and Mort Garson.

The new video is built around archival photographic and film footage from moments in her career, which according to her website “captures Amy’s career in it’s true essence.”

According to The Guardian newspaper, as per the late singer's wishes, many of her unreleased recordings are going to stay that way: unreleased and locked in Island Records' vaults.
