Dancehall artist VYBZ KARTEL has been remanded in custody after appearing today in Jamaica’s Gun Court, facing charges of murder, conspiracy and gun charges.
According to the Jamaica Observer, he has now been ordered to return to court on 2 November when a decision on his bail application will be made.
KARTEL, whose real name is Adijah Palmer, will also be brought back to court to answer a second charge of murder on 31 October. On Monday (24 October) he was charged, along with Kiro Jones (aka Ray Jones) with a second murder – that of Clive 'Lizard' Williams.
Constant Spring Criminal Investigation Branch police have accused the pair of killing Williams on 16 August in Havendale, St Andrew.
According to local reports the deejay was also remanded in custody earlier today until 31 October when he will answer to a charge of possession of marijuana.
Palmer was arrested earlier this month for possession and was then jointly charged along with Nigel Thomas and Lainberg McDonald for the murder of Barrington 'Bossie' Burton.
