Teachings in Dub hosted the final show of the TWINKLE BROTHERS meet CHANNEL ONE SOUND SYSTEM tour in fine style on Saturday night (8 December) with a sold out show at the Trinity Centre in Bristol.

Here’s “Jah Kingdom Come”

Surprisingly, this was the TWINKLE BROTHERS’ first ever UK national tour in their incredible 50-year career, and was not one to be missed – particularly backed by foundation roots sound system CHANNEL ONE.

The groundbreaking six-date tour was the idea of CHANNEL ONE's Mikey Dread who has long wanted to tour alongside the original Jamaican reggae band.

Dread has been playing their riddims since the start of the sound system in the 1980s, and many TWINKLE BROTHERS tracks have become signature CHANNEL ONE tunes over the years, such as “Jahovia”, “Africa” and “Never Get Burn”.

As such it was up to CHANNEL ONE to open and close proceedings on the last show of the landmark roots and dub tour.

Bristol reggae singer JASHWHA MOSES was up first on the church's stage and kept everyone dancing with a lively PA set.

It was back to CHANNEL ONE for half an hour and then on to the legendary TWINKLE BROTHERS for the full live band experience of the night.

Throughout Norman and Ralston Grant have stayed true to their roots reggae sound, conscious lyrics and strong Rastafarian beliefs, and tonight was no exception with an energetic and inspired set.

Here’s “Jahoviah”

CHANNEL ONE was up once more to take the Bristol crowd further into the early hours and closed the tour on an amazing high.
