D'ANGEL dishes the dirt on BEENIE MAN: 'I was dragged through the mud, beaten, almost like when Christ came on earth'

Dancehall artist and ex-model Michelle Downer, more commonly known as D’ANGEL, has appeared on Jamaican TV speaking about her divorce from Moses Davis, BEENIE MAN.

D’ANGEL was interviewed on TVJ’s Entertainment Report - her first television appearance since the announcement of her divorce.

The Jamaican artist explained why she put an end to her five-year marriage with the King of Dancehall. “It was very hard for me to rise back to where I am at today. It was very challenging, D’Angel said. "I was dragged through the mud, I was beaten, almost like when Christ came on earth.”

The singer also expressed her displeasure with the way Davis has since portrayed her in the media after the divorce was made public.

D’ANGEL has already unveiled her new single “Break Free”, an seemingly autobiographical track encouraging women to seek happiness.

BEENIE MAN has claimed that D’ANGEL’s decision to miss his birthday party and instead attend her ex-boyfriend’s [BOUNTY KILLER] birthday party was the last straw and left him heartbroken.

BEENIE recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the inaugural Reggae Rhythm & Blues festival in Queens, New York. Check out a video clip of the presentation here.
